CMMB: Market Demand for 10 Million Units in 2010
2010, China expects to develop over 10 million new CMMB (China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting) handset subscribers through cooperation between China Mobile and China Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Since China Mobile is a TD-SCDMA only 3G services provider, it will integrate CMMB functions into TD-SCDMA handsets.
