China’s electronics sales revenue hit US$255.3bn in the first half of 2007, up 17.6% year over year (YOY). However, the growth rate is slower than that in the first half of 2006, which was 28.9%. Whitegoods Products Show Solid Growth
To seek new growth areas, many Chinese TV makers are adding capacity to manufacture whitegoods products. January to July MII data shows solid growth of whitegood exports and that is bringing greater demand for MCU, relay, switch, connector, sensor, IGBT and power components. Component suppliers now have to capture the extended component demands of TV makers in whitegoods products.(more...)
